PM Grotesk
Released 2018
ABOUTDesigned between 2015 and 2018, PM Grotesk is motivated to offer subtle charm and character across a range of formats. Blending traditional nuances found in original grotesque wood type with the contemporary feel of International Typographic Style, PM Grotesk acts as a modest alternative to its 21st Century peers. Teardrops, contrast, and emotion give the family an approachable personality with understated values. Released with five weights, the family aims to naturally grow and expand over time.
PMBeginning life as a purely afternoon or evening based project, PM Grotesk is derived from the latin "post meridiem" meaning past mid-day. The two 12-hour periods (a.m. and p.m.) are used today as the common periods to define the moon and sun cycles that form the structure of a calendar day.
